Vidya Balan Seasoned and Award winning Actress is known for her steely resolve and bindass attitude. She broke the myth of size zero and created a whole new place for herself in tinsel town. She is beautiful, Charismatic, Sensual and loved by everyone on screen.
According to reports, she was recently asked about her reaction on AIB, to this Vidya said "By the time I heard about it and tried to check it out, the video had been taken off YouTube. So, I'm rather ill-equipped to answer this question”
“I'm aware that people bought tickets and willingly went for the show. Neither the participants nor the audience was acting at gun point. I think everyone has the freedom to do what they want to. As an artiste, it may not be my sensibility and as the audience it may not be something I enjoy, but that doesn't make it wrong...I think moral policing is very vague -the lines are blurred between what is acceptable and what is not; and importantly, who decides that? I think as citizens of a free country we must respect everyone's right to do what they choose." She further explains.
Recently Censor Board issued a list of cuss-words to be banned in Indian Cinema, What are her thoughts on that matter?
"The Dirty Picture, No One Killed Jessica, Ishqiya - all had cuss words. I think we are looking at the issue from a superficial point of view. I don't think banning cuss words can be an answer to anything. Attitudinal changes have to happen at a deeper level. Cinema is a reflection of the society. Here, you are curbing the freedom of expression by saying: you can't do this, you can't do that. The moment such offensive words and or such ills get eradicated from society, cinema will stop showing that." Say Vidya.
One thing is certain Vidya is poignant and doesn’t mince words. She is right about everything.
