Celebrity Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, who tested out his dancing skills on a reality television show, will soon be making his acting debut with two films, Lunch Box and Super Nani.
Directed by Anurag Kashyap's protege Ritesh Batra, Lunch Box revolves around a love story set in Mumbai between a young housewife and a middle aged man. Irrfan Khan, Nawazuddin Siddique and Nimrat Kaur will be cast in the film as well. Apparently, Kashyap and foreign producers are to team up for the project.
Super Nani, directed by Indra Kumar, will be based upon women empowerment where-in a grandson inspires his grandmother to do something worthwhile in life. Rekha is said to reprise the role of Sharman Joshi's grandmother in the film.
Talking about his foray into films Sanjeev said that, it is a small pivotal role, which directly affects the character of the protagonist in the film. The chef plays himself in both the films.
Sanjeev also said that, if he is offered a bigger role he would definitely consider it. The celebrated chef never thought that, he would end up being the first chef in the world to own a television channel. Sanjeev also hinted out on the fact that he's open to the idea of producing films as well.
