Kick and Dishoom girl Jacqueline Fernandez is all set to make her digital debut with Netflix Original film, Mrs. Serial Killer, says digital space is a new territory for her.
Jacqueline Fernandez was interacting with media on the sideline of Sri Lankan Tourism event here in Mumbai.
Talking about her digital debut, Jacqueline said, “It is very new territory for me actually; I am currently working on Mrs. Serial Killer. It is a digital platform and it is not something I am used to, either, I am used to theatrical and cinema halls, those kind of things, I am used to Fridays. But this is something which is completely new and interesting space for me”
Further adding Jacqueline said that digital space is the future, which is paving way for new content and talent.
She added, “But the cool thing about digital space is that it seems to the future. And this seems to be a new emerging platform for the films. It doesn’t change anything about the fact that what we do. We’re still going out there as actors and we’re still making the film, we’re still working with very similar teams like…Only the platform changes, but with digital space the reach is very big. Digital is helping discover new talent and content as well.”
When asked her about being hailed as most bankable actress in Bollywood, Jacqueline said, “If that is what people say that I am a bankable star, than I am obviously very flattered, I think that is an important reputation to have. I have been part of some big commercial films and I think for me, I’d indentify myself as a commercial actress and really does help. I’ve done film for almost last ten years or so, and there is a long way to go, still!”
An upcoming Netflix original film, Mrs Serial Killer, is helmed by Shirish Kunder.
Apart from digital debut, Jacqueline Fernandez is also gearing up for Drive, opposite Sushant Singh Rajput.
