Actor Ayushmann Khurrana has wrapped up shooting for his upcoming film 'Gulabo Sitabo' that will see him share the screen space with the legendary Amitabh Bachchan for the first time.
The film is helmed by Shoojit Sircar and is written by Juhi Chaturvedi of 'Piku' fame. The team was shooting for the comedy family entertainer in Lucknow.
Ayushmann just took to his social media handle and shared wrap up pictures. He captioned it, “It’s a wrap! #GulaboSitabo”
Earlier, Amitabh Bachchan had also announced him wrapping up the film. The actor plays a grumpy old man and his look from the film features a long beard, spectacles, a headscarf, and a prosthetically-pronounced nose that had quite amused the movie buffs.
Gulabo Sitabo a legendary pair of puppet sisters have been part of Uttar Pradesh folklore. The film, a comedy, apparently, is a take-off on these two characters.
Shoojit Sircar's 'Gulabo Sitabo' starring Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana for the first time, will release on 24th April 2020.
Apart from Gulabo Sitabo, Khurrana will star as a man who cross-dresses’ to play Sita in a staging of the Ramlila in the comedy Dream Girl, after which he will play the titular role in Bala, a satire on premature balding, which will mark his third collaboration with Pednekar, and will play a gay man in Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan.
