After the success of Badhaai Ho, which starred Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra, filmmaker Amit Sharma has started prepping for his next with superstar Ajay Devgn.
The film is being produced by Boney Kapoor, which will see him working with Ajay Devgn after 16 years, will be helmed by Amit Sharma, who made his Bollywood debut with the Arjun Kapoor-starrer Tevar (2015) that was also produced by Boney.
The film, which is a sports biopic based on football, is likely to go on floors as soon as possible. The director Amit interacted with football greats, such as Franco, Balaram and more, the film is based on footballer Rahim Saab.
Amit Sharma took to his social media profile and shared a picture with legendary footballers and confirmed the film. Superstar Ajay Devgn is currently busy with Total Dhamaal and De De Pyaar De, the actor also has his most ambitious historical — Tanaji: The Unsung Warrior — in the pipeline.
‘Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior’ will see Devgn taking up a sword, shield and heading out to the frontline for his role as the unsung warrior Subedar Taanaji Malusare, who fought alongside Chatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj. The film is slated to release in 2019.
