The Accidental Prime Minister is an upcoming 2018 Indian biographicalpolitical drama film directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte and written by Mayank Tewari. The film stars Anupam Kher as Manmohan Singh, the economist and politician who served as the Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014 under the United Progressive Alliance. The film is based on the 2014 memoir of the same name by Sanjaya Baru.It is scheduled to release on 7th December 2018.
